After $80 million in bonds were approved for transportation improvements, the program team has worked with partner agencies and cities to obtain an additional $80 million – doubling the value of Parker County taxpayers’ investment.
The North Central Council of Governments (NCTCOG) has contributed or committed a total of $23.4 million, including state matching funds: $7.8 million for FM 1187 improvements, $5.6 million for the FM 1187 bridge widening, and $10.1 million for construction of the East Loop/Interstate 20 bridge ramp and frontage road improvements.
The Texas Department of Transportation has contributed or committed $12.4 million to the program: $4 million toward the FM 1187 project, $7.6 million in pass-through financing of the RWMH/Interstate 20 Interchange, and $800,000 for auxiliary lane improvements on Interstate 20.
The City of Springtown, City of Aledo and Aledo Independent School District have also contributed to projects in their areas.
